Oct 1 (LNGJ) - The Port of Singapore, the leading bunkering hub in the world, has begun offering finance to encourage the use of LNG by small ships based in the port. The Port of Singapore is inviting interested companies to tap into a pilot scheme offering S$12 million (US$9M) in funding for the building of LNG-fuelled vessels. Companies must be incorporated in Singapore, and the funded vessels must be flagged under the Singapore Registry or licensed for activity in the Port of Singapore for a period of at least five years.
