Aug 26 - BMI Research expects Petronas to benefit from the takeover of Shell's 50% interest in the MLNG Dua plant as the deal enables the Malaysian national oil and gas producer to better balance domestic gas production with regional LNG demand. "It will allow it [Petronas] to consolidate its operations in Sarawak and aid its efforts in developing the region as a gas hub," analysts said.
