Aug 11 (LNGJ) - Overseas Shipholding Group, the US shipping line with almost 80 vessels including four large LNG carriers operating out of Qatar with 865,000 cubic metres capacity, posted second-quarter earnings of $130.2 million, more than doubling the amount in the same period of 2014. OSG had entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and reorganization in 2012 after being caught up in the plunging fortunes of the global shipping market. Time charter equivalent revenues for the second quarter totalled $235.2M, up 37 percent. "I am pleased to report strong second-quarter and first-half results, which reflect the continuing strength in the US and international tanker markets and our unique position in both these markets," said Ian T.
