Aug 10 (LNGJ) - Japanese LNG engineering company Chiyoda said first-quarter revenue for fiscal 2016 rose 44 percent to 125 billion yen ($1Bln) compared with the year-ago period. The backlog was 1.3 trillion yen, a 4.2 percent decrease from the end of the previous fiscal year. Ongoing projects included LNG liquefaction plants in Australia, the US and Russia and more contracts were on the horizon, Chiyoda said. "The group was selected as an engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the LNG plant in Mozambique and front-end engineering and design work was received for an LNG plant in Canada and the contract for a Floating LNG facility in Indonesia was also progressing," the company said.
