July 15 (LNG) - Qatar Gas Transport Co, the LNG carrier fleet owner and operator with more than 50 vessels, posted first-half profits of 490 Qatari riyals ($135), an increase of 10 percent from the same period in 2014. The company, also known as Nakilat and whose LNG fleet also includes the world's largest carriers, said it was in a good position to weather oil price fluctuations because its ships are on long-term LNG charter contracts.
