Höegh LNG Holdings has signed a new loan facility agreement with a group of banks to refinance the FSRUs ‘Höegh Esperanza’ and ‘Hoegh Gannet’.
They are both employed on long-term German contracts.
The new loan facility totals $685 mill, has a tenor of 10 years and is split in two tranches - one per vessel. It will be utilised to repay the existing loan facilities and general corporate use.
Subject to the customary closing conditions, Höegh LNG expects to complete the refinancing of ‘Höegh Esperanza’ this month, while the ‘Hoegh Gannet’s’ refinancing is expected to be completed March/April, which is dependent on having successfully completed its commissioning for regas operations in Germany.
