Gas stays vital for US dispatchable power despite growing LNG exports

Gas-burn in the United States has set new records and will remain the lead source of dispatchable power generation in 2024 in the face of the second wave of LNG export projects. Production surged and bloated inventories, hence there is ample supply for Plaquemines LNG Phase 1 and Corpus Christi Stage 2 to potentially get first feedgas flows this summer.
