QatarEnergy’s LNG shipments to Europe are delayed as carriers since mid-January take the longer route around the Cape of Good Hope to avoid attacks when crossing the Red Sea to reach the Suez Canal. European importers may well have to balance missing volumes from delayed Qatari deliveries by buying some US spot cargoes instead.
