Haynesville Shale rig count in decline as gas price falls

Shut-ins at Haynesville Shale has reduced rig counts by three and Lower 48 gas rigs are down by five to a total of 157 as production started a long-awaited decline in response to falling Henry Hub spot prices. But associated gas gains at Permian oil rigs still drive production growth and gas-burn in the power generation sector continues to be strong.
