Global LNG exports in July remained largely steady with only a marginal increase of 0.14mmt to 32.69mmt from 32.55 in June. However, this was down 1.41mmt (-4 percent) from the 34.10mmt we recorded in July 2023. Qatar and Australia, two of the most significant exporters, saw gains. Qatar's shipments rose substantially by 0.63mmt (10 percent) to 6.63mmt, whilst Australia recorded a slight uptick of 0.11mmt (2 percent) to 6.59mmt. In contrast, the United States experienced a decline in exports, down by 0.38mmt (-5 percent) to 7.11mmt, primarily due to lower performance at Freeport LNG.
