Venture Global Delivery Delays Keep Industry Dispute Alive

Venture Global LNG, which faces arbitration and regulatory complaints from major energy companies over delayed deliveries from its Calcasieu Pass facility, has informed yet another contract partner not to expect contractual cargoes for some time. Despite citing technical issues, Venture Global has been selling LNG from Calcasieu Pass on the spot market with flows up by 21pct year-on-year, according to our data. This has prompted accusations of neglecting long-term contracts. The dispute has drawn federal regulators' attention, with calls for greater transparency.
