US LNG firm New Fortress Energy (NFE) anticipates commencing LNG production at its first FLNG project off Altamira in Mexico within this week, the company announced in a press release on 14 June. This production would then be loaded onto an LNG carrier in July. According to our data, LNG demand in South America and the Caribbean has seen robust increases since 2022.
