QatarEnergy closed an LNG supply deal with TotalEnergies for 3.5mtpa for 27 years last week, ranking it among the longest such agreements in the industry. Qatar is currently engaged in boosting its LNG capacity by 60pct by 2026/27 to be able to simultaneously serve growth markets in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Europe in general has seen Qatari LNG supplies trend down significantly since 2020, our data shows.
