Chinese LNG Capacity Set for Expansion

Having displaced Japan as the world’s most significant LNG buyer in 1H 2023, Chinese LNG import capacity is set to continue its expansion with the scheduled start-up of the 6mtpa Huaying terminal in December. Notably, Huaying’s developer Huaying Natural Gas Trading signed an MoU with Thailand’s PTT to share the Thai conglomerate’s supply portfolio.
