Europe’s cumulative LNG demand has grown much faster in the first 23 weeks of this year than during the equivalent time last year. Russian pipeline supply issues that had begun to manifest themselves even before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has left European gas inventories at their third lowest since 2018.
