The world’s biggest LNG buyers – led by China – are continuing to grow LNG offtakes whilst elsewhere in the world the prevailing high-price environment has dampened buyers’ appetite for accelerated imports. In Europe – the world’s second most prominent buyer region by volume – ongoing delays to Nord Stream 2 have added to depleted gas stocks.
