Flex LNG, the Norwegian company whose shareholders include a fund controlled by shipping magnate John Fredriksen, reported a narrower third-quarter operating loss as it pursued its activities with four chartered carriers and received a loan for some of its own six vessels under construction in South Korea.

Indian LNG imports for the first seven months of the fiscal year from April were on track to be little changed compared with last year because of limited import infrastructure and pipeline capacity and the concentration of all terminals on the West Coast.

The US Trade and Development Agency, the government body that helps companies create American jobs through the export of goods and services, has launched a gas infrastructure initiative to help with the development and financing of projects for future importers of US LNG.

Japanese liquefied natural gas imports dropped for a third month, with falling Middle East cargoes being partially offset by Asian deliveries as the nation opted for fewer shipments at 15.5 higher costs than a year ago.
