Innovation in the way LNG is produced, delivered and traded will be put under the spotlight by the industry’s experts speaking at the Gastech 2011 conference scheduled for Amsterdam in March.

Energy World Corp., the Australian listed company, said it received a 25-year, extendable permit to develop, construct and operate an LNG import terminal on Pagbilao Grande Island in the Philippines that could be a regional hub for spot cargoes.

Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd, the Australian-based LNG project developer, said it's acquiring a major new shareholder after agreeing to sell almost 20 percent of its stock to a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corp.

Wärtsilä Corp, the Finland-based marine engine company for LNG carriers, said its President and Chief Executive Ole Johansson was retiring and the search was under way for a successor.
