IHI Corp., the Japanese LNG storage tank maker, was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for two of India's largest tanks at the Dahej LNG import terminal in the western state of Gujarat.

Novatek, the second-largest Russian natural gas company after Gazprom, has finalized the sale of 20 percent of the Yamal LNG project in the Arctic region to China National Petroleum Corp.

Cape Plc of the UK, the provider of support services to the energy industry, said it won a contract extension for the ExxonMobil LNG project in Papua New Guinea, adding to its other current work in the Wheatstone LNG project in Australia.

CB&I, the US LNG engineering company, plans to seek more North American LNG contract work after signing a cooperation agreement with Chiyoda Corp. of Japan to design and build LNG export facilities in the region after being awarded a contract in Texas.
