Quicksilver Resources, the US shale-gas player with Japanese utility Tokyo Gas as a partner and the developer of the Discovery LNG project in Canada, said it continued to pursue partners for its integrated Canadian Horn River shale-gas project.

The Australian Santos-led Gladstone coal-seam-gas-to-LNG project in Eastern Australia has said that new figures showed it had provided more than A$11.6 billion (US$10.8) worth of work to Australian businesses since January 2011, with $6.2 billion spent in the state of Queensland alone.

The US Environmental Protection Agency has called into question the Freeport LNG export project on Quintana Island in Texas, a joint venture involving energy billionaire Michael Smith and oil major ConocoPhillips, over justice concerns for poor communities, the effects on wetlands and greenhouse gas emissions.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp., the LNG transportation fuel company founded by legendary US oil man T. Boone Pickens, said it had completed the opening of 27 fueling stations in the first half of the year, nine of which will service the trucking industry.
