KBR, the US energy and liquefied natural gas engineering firm, was awarded a multi-phased contract for front-end engineering and design for the Canadian LNG export project controlled by Indonesian billionaire Sukanto Tanoto and his Pacific Oil and Gas company in the province of British Columbia.

Chevron Corp. has shipped its first cargo from the Gorgon LNG plant on Barrow Island off the northwest coast of Western Australia destined for one of the US major’s foundation buyers, the Japanese utility Chubu Electric Power.

The sultanate of Oman said it was rescheduling about 5 percent of its LNG cargo deliveries in 2016 as rising domestic demand affects the amount of feed-gas made available for the nation’s two LNG export plants.
