US LNG developer Cook Inlet LNG has started the process of obtaining approvals from the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the US Coast Guard and other regulatory agencies for its Alaskan import project.

Four LNG cargoes loaded from Sabine Pass LNG and Plaquemines LNG between 5 and 18 May initially signalled arrival in Tianjin, China. All four have since updated their declared destinations and are headed for South Korea and Japan instead.

In March, due to the Middle East conflict, Oman overtook Qatar as India’s leading supplier of LNG with a market share of 30%.

US-based United Energy Corp has acquired Alkane Modus Vis and assets from Alkane Midstream for about $31 mill.
