Exmar saw its 2007 operating results plunge 45 percent, though its LNG fleet earnings held up, and the Belgian-based shipping company expected new LNG carriers to boost income this year and next.

Broadwater LNG terminal, a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell and TransCanada Corp. planned for Long Island Sound east of New York City, was given final approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Teekay Corp., the Canadian tanker owner and operator, has re-shuffled its fleet by selling two 1993-built LNG carriers to Bermuda-based subsidiary Teekay LNG for $230 million to help the unit’s long-term cash flow.
