German Chancellor Merkel makes LNG import pledge in answer to Russia pipeline criticisms

German Chancellor Angela Merkel pledged during a visit to Poland to speed up the development of liquefied natural gas infrastructure in Germany as it remains the only prominent European Union member without an LNG regasification terminal.
