US natural gas export surge is led by LNG while Canada is key pipeline gas supplier in winter

US natural gas exports, comprising LNG shipments from Louisiana and Maryland have surged in the first half of 2018, while US pipeline supplies to Mexico rose by just 4 percent and exports to Canada were offset by a jump in imports from the northern neighbour during the winter cold snap.
