Kawasaki and Mitsui talks halted over bid to create leader in LNG-fuelled shipbuilding

Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), the builder of 27 LNG carriers and Japan's main shipbuilder in the sector, has cancelled talks to acquire Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES), whose latest developments include a dual-fuel LNG-powered propulsion system.
