Kitimat LNG project signs $200M land access deal with 15 Canadian native tribes

The pipeline portion of the Canadian Kitimat LNG export venture involving US energy companies Chevron Corp. and Apache Corp. signed a deal with 15 native North American tribes to pay them $200 million over the life of the project to compensate for crossing their traditional lands.
