Chevron acquires inland Australia shale and tight-gas assets for LNG feed search

Chevron Corp. has acquired exploration rights from Beach Energy in two onshore natural gas blocks covering over 800,000 acres of shale and tight gas prospects in the Cooper Basin of central Australia as companies ramp up efforts to find feed-gas for multiple Australian LNG projects.
