THIS WEEK: Higher spot LNG prices fail to slow Atlantic Basin cargo flow to East Asia

Japanese LNG cargo deliveries have cost an average of more than $17.00 per million British thermal units so far in February, held high by robust crude oil prices, while spot LNG was trading at a $1.50 per MMBtu premium or more on short global supplies. Our graphic shows the recent quarterly trend in Atlantic Basin to Pacific Basin LNG trade.
