Kansai Electric seals new LNG supply deal with Qatargas to help fill nuclear deficit

Kansai Electric Power Co. said it signed a contract to purchase 500,000 tonnes per annum of Qatargas LNG over 15 years from January 2013 as Japanese increase their gas-fired power output to make up for the nuclear deficit.
