Norway has officially recognized Japanese classification society and LNG industry safety advocate ClassNK as its newest competent maritime certification organization at a special signing ceremony in Tokyo.

Deputy Minister Rikke Lind of Norway's Ministry of Trade and Industry, and ClassNK Chairman Noboru Ueda signed the agreement, which grants ClassNK the authority to perform surveys and issue certificates for Norwegian-flagged vessels.
