LNG and natural gas will continue to play a leading role in the global mix, but renewable energy use will rise just 5 percentage points from now to 2035, and by then projects such as solar and wind will be receiving subsidies of $250 billion, says the International Energy Agency.
Natural gas and LNG will almost catch up with coal consumption, according to the latest IEA World Energy Outlook.
