Kinder Morgan said it would retain ownership of the Elba Island LNG import terminal in Georgia and the Gulf LNG terminal in Mississippi when it completes the $37 billion acquisition of El Paso Corp.

Kinder Morgan announced its acquisition of El Paso on October 16, creating the largest natural gas pipeline network company in the US, and involving stakes in the two LNG   terminals.
