RasGas, Qatar’s No.2 LNG production company in terms of volume, said it would deliver 8.3 million tonnes per annum of LNG to South Korea this year as the Asian country increases its contracted supplies.

RasGas will supply a quarter of the anticipated LNG demand in the country, said Qatar Energy Minister Mohamed bin Saleh Al-Sada during a visit to mark the first anniversary of the opening of a RasGas liaison office in Seoul.

RasGas is the largest single supplier of LNG to Korea, delivering more than 7 MTPA on long-term contracts and the balance on a short-term and spot basis.
