Tuesday, 04 October 2011

Technip, one of the leading LNG engineering companies, is holding a road show in Brazil, where one-third of worldwide hydrocarbon discoveries have been made in the last five years, and where the French company is in a contest to design the country’s first Floating LNG unit.

Technip is part of a consortium, including Japan’s JGC Corp. and Mitsui Ocean Development & Engineering Co. (Modec), which took part in the front-end engineering and design competition for an FLNG unit that could lead the way in exploiting Brazil pre-salt reserves.
