The Kitimat LNG project on the west coast of Canada is continuing with site clearance work as it awaits completion of a front-end engineering and design study and for the National Energy Board’s decision on a 20-year LNG export licence.
The project developers, Apache Corp. and EOG Resources of the US, are planning to produce 10 million tonnes per annum from the plant located north of Vancouver on a site originally envisaged as an import terminal.
