Leading LNG players in Australia such as BG Group, ConocoPhillips and Royal Dutch Shell have agreed to each pay millions of dollars to upgrade the airport at the eastern port of Gladstone, where at least four coal-seam-gas-to-LNG projects will be located.
QGC, the CSG arm of the UK company’s Queensland Curtis LNG project, said the companies would provide A$10.5 million for an instrument landing system at Gladstone Airport.
