Although the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas seemed to bring some respite to regional tensions, the complete functioning of the Suez Canal will be a mixed bag for LNG shipping, Drewry Shipping Consultants said in a report. 

While the resumption of Suez Canal transits could aid the role of Qatari LNG exports to Europe, cargoes from the US to Asia will likely continue transiting South Africa, conforming with shipping economics.
