Goldman Sachs warns elections could weaken LNG market

investment bank Goldman Sachs has cautioned that the upcoming US elections could introduce downward pressures on the global LNG market, driven by potential shifts in trade relations between the US, Russia, and China. 

"Any significant changes to US sanctions or tariff policies would potentially soften LNG and thus European and Asian gas markets at the margin," analysts at the bank commented.
