Singapore goes down the FSRU route for second LNG terminal

Tuesday, 22 October 2024

Singapore's second LNG terminal will be an offshore 5 mill tonnes per annum FSRU to be located at Jurong Port, Minister for Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong, revealed at the Singapore International Energy Week yesterday.

An FSRU-based LNG terminal would provide the flexibility to move the unit, as required and it would take up a smaller land area than a conventional onshore LNG import facility.
