The rise in Indian LNG imports pushed up the country’s reliance on imported gas to 48.9% during the April/July period from 46.9% a year-ago.
Growth in domestic natural gas demand amid reasonable prices and ample LNG availability in the international market led to the double-digit growth in India’s LNG imports during the period.
