Cyprus side-tracked from Aphrodite gas project in dispute with China over island’s first LNG import terminal

The Republic of Cyprus, the Greek-speaking part of the divided island in the process of developing the Aphrodite natural gas field in the Eastern Mediterranean as a regional gas and LNG hub, is involved in a dispute with a Chinese company over a separate LNG import terminal project still under construction.
