US energy regulators said they expected the Downeast LNG Liquefaction Project planned for Robbinston in the northeast state of Maine to file its formal application for building and operational permits in early 2016. The venture is unique in America in that the inhabitants of Robbinston have already voted by a big majority in a town election to back the LNG project.
