Asia’s key LNG buyers have made preliminary Alaska LNG offtake commitments, with Thailand’s PTT signing for 2 mtpa and Japan’s Tokyo Gas for 1 mtpa, while JERA, South Korea’s POSCO and Taiwan’s CPC also agreed tentative offtake – taking total volumes to 11 mtpa of the 16 mtpa Glenfarne aims to secure ahead of FID.
