Chevron: Australia lacks capacity to meet Japan’s LNG needs

Australian LNG exporter are falling short on meeting Asian demand due to a lack of capacity that partially stems from an uncertain investment environment. Demand is outstripping supply, especially from Japanese buyers. “If we are able to sell more, people would absolutely like to buy it,” said Chevron Australia’s managing director Balaji Krishnamurthy.
