China’s state-owned CNOOC has increased its production target by 8 percent to up to 720 million barrels of oil equivalent, following a massive find in the South China Sea. Situated in the Pearl River Delta, offshore Guangdong, the new reserve has some 102 million tons of oil equivalent proved in-place, boosting domestic fuel supply for industry and power producers.
