LNG

Chinese LNG buyers are getting increasingly assertive in their quest to settle LNG deals in yuan, instead of US dollar. CNOOC and the French utility ENGIE recently completed a yuan-settled LNG trade through the Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange – the third such LNG trade achieved by the Chinese last year and with more on the horizon in 2024.
