China’s three new LNG terminals have ‘limited impact’ on spot market

Three new LNG regas terminals were commissioned in China this summer: Beijing Gas’ 5 mtpa Tianjin Nangang terminal, Guangzhou Gas' 1 mtpa Nansha terminal and Huaying Natural Gas’ 6 mtpa terminal at Chaozhou. But the impact on spot markets is small, analysts reckon even though the Chinese government anticipates a substantial rise in the country’s gas use this year.
