Cheniere Energy, the first liquefied natural gas exporter from the US Gulf Coast after its Sabine Pass liquefaction plant in Louisiana began operations in February, saw its shares surge more than 6 percent in one day after it named a new Chief Executive to help make Cheniere “one of the top global LNG companies” and ending months of uncertainty.
