Djibouti signals start of LNG plant project backed by China and using Ethiopian gas

Djibouti, the small Horn of Africa nation and former French colony on the southern side of the Gulf of Aden, has started a $5 billion liquefied natural gas export project with backing from a powerful industrial group in China and using feed-gas imported from neighbouring Ethiopia by pipeline.
